Ok so the previous post I forgot to thank the TackleCamp comm. -refers to handouts-THANK YOU HELSA! For sacrifising so much time despite your busy schedule; Thank you Janice, Cheryl, Asher, Yingjie, Alden, Caleb, Rebecca, Su-lin, Jevon, Joshua, Hannah and Yunling; For making TackleCamp 2010 so enjoyable and putting up with all of us :D So, WikiLeaks digging is back. There's an article about Michael Moor bailing Assange; Check it out here. Not only him, also many other high-profile folks. Quote: "We were taken to war in Iraq on a lie. Hundreds of thousands are now dead," Moore wrote on his website. "Just imagine if the men who planned this war crime back in 2002 had a WikiLeaks to deal with. They might not have been able to pull it off. The only reason they thought they could get away with it was because they had a guaranteed cloak of secrecy. That guarantee has now been ripped from them, and I hope they are never able to operate in secret again."Yeah I changed my blockquote since the previous exceeded bandwidth when I wasnt around. WikiLeaks now has 2 articles on SG on their site. LKY called Burma generals stupid; My dad (or was it mom...) agreed on LKY's view. He was praising Vietnam too... Turning to Burma, MM Lee expressed his scorn for the regime's leadership. He said he had given up on them a decade ago, called them "dense" and "stupid" and said they had "mismanaged" the country's great natural resources. He asserted that China had the greatest influence over the regime and had heavily penetrated the Burmese economy. China was worried that the country could "blow up" which would endanger its significant investments, pipelines, and the approximately two million Chinese estimated to be working in the country. India was worried about China's influence in Burma and was engaged with the regime in an attempt to minimize China's influence. India lacked China's finer grasp of how Burma worked, however.Other stuff discussed there. Check it out here. I think his views are really good... On Burma, there's also a rumour that they're building a nuclear reactor here. Quite a few articles about the murder of Dorothy Mae Stang (Catholic nun and US citizen) And articles on the millitary rule times in Uruguay (between 1973 and 1985) Questionable articles regarding Medicine and Human Rights popping up too. Looking forward. Checked out VC (everyday actually)The dumbing down video is rather... disturbing; I hope it doesnt happen to SG, well since we're quite close to the US; The other, I hope... Yeah, that the same thing doesnt happen here. Hey, maybe this is why 6BillionSecrets is there. Proof of everything I guess. Maybe ignorance is bliss. I'm finding out so much, and I'm only 13. Maybe I should be like other teen girls and obsess over... I dunno. Whatever they obsess over. But I never want to be ignorant. I think, as a citizen, I should have the right; The right to know what is going on, esp to me. The Gov is suppose to help us; Not... Control us and use us as their workers. They're suppose to take care of us. I hope Singapore isnt like America. And ppl would snap out of their ignorance; Hate it when ppl dont care. Bloody hell everyone is involved. Ok. Maybe time for something else? Erm... I dont know. New Year Resolutions 2011? -takes a deep breath- Here goes I guess, in no particular order 1. GPA/CAP more than 4.4 (4.5 or above.) Tough, but worth a shot. 2. Write more and better 3. Be active in school (house/CIG/CIP/CCA activities etc) 4. Be a better Christian (includues going TTB regulary) 5. Lose weight 6. Be a better person I guess. Rmb my values, hungry for knowledge, etc. Feeling odd today. Doubt its cuz I'm not running around or singing my lungs out. Sheesh I growing up is tough. TackleCamp! Our room of 13 girls :) Yeah I'm on the top bunk at the corner... My Crumpler should make it obvious. Something cool and worth trying out. LOL. Creativity at it's peak. :D
