TackleCamp 2010: First Love.

So, I'm finally back from TackleCamp! Anyone miss me? I miss camp already LOL. Just got back a couple of hrs ago yeah. Had to leave early since dad was in a rush hmmm;
ANYWAY. So to intro what happen. There were 16 teams, I was in grp 16: Jerusalem;
In the worship workshop. My team leaders are Rebekah and Nicholas. Which are pretty cool.
Grp members are:
Rachel (very sweet and innocent hehe)
Justin (Heidi's big bro)
Joyce (nice and friendly yay)
Tiffany (our 'mascot', find her very similar to Natacia...)
Rae-Ann (real friendly and even more so when she see's I'm alone)
Alwyn (same age kid, thought he was a yr younger though)
Gabriel (same age, used to be school mates)
Me, Alwyn and Gab, all 13, are the youngest in the grp. I'm the youngest female...
And there was me, the fella who was amazingly quiet. Though my grp was the loudest wth.
I seriously didnt talk for most of the time. The ppl talking were Justin, Nick and Tiffany LOL.

All sec 1s :D So let's start with day ONE. I'll put in meal details, service and worship details;

Parents sent me and Mel to FMC on their way to work. We were early, so joined in games;
That the early folks were playing. Polar Bear mainly. A variation of it, which was fun.
Caleb E said me and Mel were one of the sec 1s that dont respond when he says HELLO;
Then someone added that almost no one responds LOL. It's not that I hate him or what;
I just... am not comfortable around strangers. So we had to gather in grps later;
Justina was dragging me to my grp leader (Nic) I kept hiding behind Justina...
Wish I was in Justina's grp... We played ice breakers, the usual... Yes I was the most silent.
Ok skip to when we reach Salvation Army. We had a Bible quiz, which my grp cheated...
Suppose only use 1 Bible, no talking and no electronics. My grp broke all the rules. Oh well.
In the end the aim was not to be correct but to see if we hv self control (we prob didnt.)
Had opening service, grp time (which I was silent) then lights out (no we didnt sleep)
14 Dec
Rise&Shine at 7am, but I woke at 6am (and accidentally woke someone else)
Why? Cuz I'm uncomfortable getting ready for the day w ppl around, so I wake earlier to be alone;
My room mates think I'm nuts. Had breakfast with Jerusalem. (most meals must hv w grp)
Again, I sit at the corner and eat quietly while Tiff and Justin dominate (Tiff shrieks.)
Quiet Time with grp, had worship, then workshops (I was in Worship w Mel and Tze Yi)
Made friends with Sonia, who was really friendly :D Lunch (the silent one yet again)
Then games, which are station games all over the place, even near the Quarry wth.
Captain Ball, 2 games, we won 1. (JJ strain muscle... Hope he's alright) (JJ is senior btw)
Ohoh I rmb one station we were given cards which represent the options;
Sort of like balloting. Then some dont like ours, so we wanted to switch;
Then Gab was like "SQUIRREL!" (to distract the station master) Alwyn joined in too;
Soon it was a dog on the tree wagging its tail and soon dropped down. The SM didnt believe...
Had a variation of Lao Ying Zhuo Xiao Ji, which got pretty violent. The joy of it LOL.
Cant really rmb the other games, most can la. But the grp was pretty epic la.
Washed up, dinner then NIGHT GAMES! Were stations games too, but all indoors;
Got Band Hero (which I sucked), Twister, etcetc. Also got 'special characters' around;
Who when we found, would give us a task and lots of points. So here they are:
Muffin Man (senior Joshua) He didnt tell us the task but heard from other teams.
Weird dude (Caleb E) Make us sing and dance to Ricky Martin music...
Prata Man (Alex) Make us find Chapati Boy so they can be super heroes or something.
Pikachu (2 ppl, one guy w Pika hairband and a female) Make us sing the theme song of Pokemon.
Chapati Boy (Alden) Was a SM, we were told to take a pic of him and show Prata Man;
But Nic decided it was better to kidnap Alden. Alden resisted but gave in anyways. LOL.
After the games and all, we were told to give our score sheets to Hannah;
Then she tore them and scolded us etcetc. I was like, WTF? About cheating and blahblah.
Then say had to pour dirty water on ourselves, then Comm members bring stuff in.
I took out my Nike jacket, scared dirty. Then Ruth stood up say she'll take our punishment;
Immediately I rolled my eyes and shut down. Once Ruth stood up I knew it was all an act;
Later they admitted it was la. Anyway, team by team we had to pour on Ruth;
My team was well, last. But after a few teams, Justin went to Hannah and confronted everyone;
After which Hannah scolded him and he left (went to Cry Room, where my grp meets)
Later had service at Worship Centre and sermon (which I shant bore you with)
Grp time, but Justin was out talking to Ruth. Then Lights Out. Nic tried to stop Justin;
And they were overnight heroes. Hmmm...
15 Dec
Again I woke at 6am, an hr early. After breakfast was worship then Prayer Stations/ Ministry Fair.
8 grps to PS, 8 to MF. Did MF first. The reps from the diff TTB ministries talked;
Trying to convince us to join. Yun Ying was... Hyper. I was immediately drawn to Media.
Graphic & web design, animation etcetc. PS was each grp take turns to go, so my team last;
Had lots of time. We camp in Nic's room and play Truth or Dare w Tiff's Andriod.
SUPER EPIC LA. Got option to 'Make It Dirty' which was a rule, only those 15 or above;
Can click. I didnt understand some of the 'MID' questions. But we had a CIRCLE OF TRUST;
So what happens in the grp stays in the grp. Though I'm very much tempted;
To talk about Tiff and her questionable obsessions. But oh well. PS was quite ok;
Jevon talked to some of us to keep us occupied. I completed the stations real fast;
As if I was completing sch stuff. Will discuss Prayer Stations at end of the post.
Had lunch (were late) then WET GAMES! Near the quarry. Variation of QUIDDITCH!
I felt like shouting ACCIO BALL so many times. Sometimes even CRUCIO. LOL.
Combined with Jon Chiang's grp to form RAVENCLAW team ONE. Our opponent;
Was HUFFLEPUFF team 1. Our game's Snitch was Jevon. The Snitches are;
Jevon, Derrick, Caleb E and someone. Read up about Snitches on Wikipedia.
Caleb E ran into the 'forest' and got injured, so one lucky team got extra 150 points wth.
My team lost the Snitch to Gabriel E's team. We lost 260 - 270, which was good;
Considering the caught the Snitch and got 150 pts. If not we pwn them la.
So, Ravenclaw lost to Hufflepuff. Gahh. We had waterbombs to throw too yay. Alden;
Was walking around with FLOUR BOMBS. I didnt get whacked by him thankfully.
Alex was rubbing butter onto the balls and players' hands. The ball felt gross seriously.
Chiang's catching is pro-ness. Think he almost did split hehe. Got back before it rained.
Washed up, dinner, worship, sermon, grp time, lights out. Lights Out at 3.30am! WHOO!
Was in Rebakah's room w grp for a while then go back my room and PARTY!
Chips, cup noodles, games, etcetc. Great way to spend the last night in TackleCamp!
16 Dec.
Today. This morning. I toke at 7am, didnt hear my 6am alarm... Must be too tired.
Barely had time to get ready then went for breakfast (in a mess I guess)
After breakfast, packed room and headed to Fellowship Hall (there's a lot of halls lol)
Testimonies, video, credits, then my dad came and I left before it ended. Yeah. Ties up.
Meal & accommodation details
The food was pretty good, better than home food. One night there were eclairs!
My room was on B1, female toile had 3 shower cubicles, which sucks pretty much;
Always long queue during shower time. Shared a bunk bed with Vic, I took top bunk.
Super creaky. Then when I let my hand dangle over, Vic will scream LOL. Teehee.
Aircon was leaking. I'm a light sleeper (generally) so yeah.
Worship & sermon details
In all seriousness, this camp really impacted me and I learnt a lot about Jesus;

I was really touched. In one of the stations in PS, was told to write down a grudge;
On transparency sheet then erase and break and glow stick. It was easy to write it;
But I had difficulty to erase it, for it meant I had to forget it. I'm sure many ppl would know;
What the grudge was. I nvr let go of it for more than a year now. But I did, ytd.
And there were 3 or 4 altar calls, I went for 2, cuz the other(s) were on the day of the act;
Which I shut down, so yeah. Both times ppl prayed for me, and it's really touching.
Difficult too, to surrender my whole life to Jesus. It meant starting anew, again.
I wanted to, but couldnt. So I surrendered the present and future to the Lord;
And locked up my past away. I'll keep it as a reminder to myself. Even if it might hinder me.
The worship was powerful, for once in my Christian life I hear a congregation so loud;
So much emotion. Really diff from usual TTB service. I'm sure TTB life from now would rock.
Time flies really fast, many cuz the schedule was really packed. It felt like forever when I was there;
Now, it felt like a dream, one that was too good to be true. My life is really changed. I hope.

Almost got withdrawal symptoms though, no internet, no Nutella. Diff environment too;
Had to be w so many strangers, live in a new place, new settings. Tough, but enjoyable.
But every night, no matter what happened in the day, no matter how tired, how happy;
I felt weird, like something I needed to do wasnt done. And that made it harder to sleep;
3 nights without you. A 4th would hurt too much
Now I'm back, WikiLeaks, here I come.
Oh ya. Still needa settle Tan Kah Kee stuff. Darn it.
