Spent a large part of the afternoon obsessing over The Hunger Games. Cant wait for the movie!FINAL DESTINATION 5! I dont care all the Final Destination movies have the same plot, I LIKE ALL OF THEM. Horror without the gore. The deaths are just brilliant :D Anyway since I don't hv my essay done (I'm lazy). I'll just post sth else. 2 paragraphs. From my EL R.A. Rewriting of The Bet by Anton Chekov. And, GREENDAY'S NEW ALBUM! Not new, but this year de :P It's "Awesome as f**ck" XD So,
A dark autumn night saw me pacing to and fro, deep in thought in reminiscent of the fateful night I held a party in this mansion a good fifteen years ago. Here, a lone light dangles above, illuminating the archaic study, an atmosphere very unlike then. Scholars and other educated souls were present, engaged in critical conversations. Populated with such high-order thinking men, it was no surprise that the most discussed topic was on capital punishment, which most present disapproved of, especially the death penalty. Some firmly believed in replacing the death penalty with life imprisonment, and I could bear no longer their ramblings on Christianity and what not. On my feet, I rebuked, “Disagree!” The crowd hushed. “I’ve no experience in either, but don’t you see? It is more humane to kill a man in seconds than to torture him for years, even decades.” Glancing around, I spotted a composed lad, a lawyer sipping Earl Grey, silently participating in the debate. As a lawyer, I reckoned he has quite some views on the matter. Gesturing at him, I inquired his opinion. Swirling tea in the exquisite china, he offered, “They are equally immoral, both denying the chance to live. But I would choose life imprisonment over the death penalty anyhow. After all, to live is better than not at all.” Meow. |
